    Our Town Kimba - Community Connector

    8-10 Hours a week

    Our Town Kimba is seeking a supportive and community minded person to join our team as a Community Connector. From being a listening ear, providing a safe space to be in or giving guidance for other supports available.

    The Community Connector role involves using innovative ways to connect people, especially the fellas by utilising opportunities for different projects that create positive change and improve wellbeing with and for our community.

    We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is community minded
  • Has a can-do attitude Is a good listener
  • Is self-motivated but works well in a team environment
  • Is keen to bring ideas and ways of working with our fellas to fruition
  • Is passionate about wellbeing and supportive of fostering pathways for community to thrive

    Our Town Kimba – Project Lead

  • Our Town Kimba is seeking a supportive & driven person to join the team and lead the Our Town Kimba initiative.
  • Support the Kimba team to lead passion projects.
  • Be responsible for the daily running of the initiative including finance, HR & WHS.
  • Organise & support the facilitation of workshops & training within the community.
  • Engage & foster partnerships within the community and with outside stakeholders.
  • Advocate for community needs within the Our Town Initiative network of towns and to wider networks.
  • Gather information and oversee evaluation of the project.
  • Be Involved in the direction and long-term initiative goals as the lead at OTK.
  • This role can be up to 35 hours which are negotiable and can be flexible when needed. If you have strong communication and leadership skills, a strong passion for community mental health and wellbeing, and a desire to support and work with a dedicated team, we encourage you to apply. This role offers the chance to advocate for regional communities while collaborating with like-minded individuals.

    The successful applicant will receive on-the-job training and ongoing support from our team. We are looking for someone committed to making a difference in our community and we’re excited to help you grow in this important work.

Local  business is seeking a harvest casual staff member to assist clients and complete contracts on their behalf.

Applicant should be:

  • Well presented
  • Have excellent phone and  customer service skills
  • Be familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Competent working independently in a group environment
  • Calm in high pressure situations
  • Some knowledge of the grain industry would be an advantage
  •  

This position requires 3 afternoons a week with the possibility of up to 5.
