Rating Policy
Section 171 of the Local Government Act 1999 requires Council to prepare and adopt each year, in conjunction with setting the rates, a rating policy. The policy must be available at the principal office of the Council and a summary version must be distributed with the rates notice.
The policy is available for inspection at the Council office.
Application of the Policy
Where a ratepayer believes that Council has failed to properly apply this policy, they should raise the matter with Council. In the first instance, contact Deb Larwood, Chief Executive Officer, District Council of Kimba, 08 8627 2026 or PO Box 189, Kimba SA 5641.
