You must pay a minimum of $10 per assessment. If your account is for less than $10, you can still pay $10 and your account will go into credit. To ensure that your payment is received on time, Council recommends processing your payment at least two clear working days before the due date.

Rates Notices and Due Dates
Rate accounts are sent out each quarter. Rate accounts have to be posted at least 30 days before the due date. We generally send them out five days before we have to. This gives people an extra few days to pay before the due date, and is one reason why Council enforces the due date strictly.
For 2016/2017 the due dates for quarterly installments are as follows:
- First Instalment Thursday 1st September 2016
- Second Instalment Thursday 1st December 2016
- Third Instalment Thursday 2nd March 2017
- Fourth Instalment Thursday 1st June 2017
Fines on Rates
Fines of 2% will be imposed for the late payment of quartely installments. Any payments not received by 5:00pm on the due date are considered late. Council does not take into account delays in the post. Interest charges will also be applied to outstanding amounts each thirty days afterwards.
Alternative Payment Option - Single Instalment
Council offers a discount of 2.5% for the payment in full of all rates and service charges for the 2016/2017 financial year by Thursday 1st September 2016. For more information contact the Rates Officer.
